Nuno Beja was born 1982, Lisbon [PT].

In 2004, he started attending photography course at IADE Creative University, Lisbon [PT].

In 2006, Nuno Beja started his professional career in the photography field, becoming the first assistant of the well known portuguese fashion photographer Carlos Ramos, director of the photography Studio “Um Ponto Quatro”. Since then, Nuno Beja has been working in the field of fashion photography (editorials and covers), beauty, still life and portrait, shooting for several fashion magazines and brands, such as Chocolate Magazine, Amoreiras Fashion Life Magazine, Moz Magazine, Urso Tigre, Bainha de Copas, Goldmud, Alexandra Moura, Burel Factory, etc.

In 2010, along with photographers Carlos Ramos and Paulo Andrade, Nuno Beja shooted the dresses of the famous fado singer Amália Rodrigues, for the exhibition “Amália, Coração Independente”, held at Museu Berardo.

Nuno Beja was distinguished twice with the Young Creators Prize – category of photography, being presented at Young Creators National Exhibition 2012 and 2013, as well as analogue catalogues, with his projects “Happiness” and “Sensibilidade”.

In 2014, Nuno Beja developed the photography project “SOURIRE INTEMPOREL”, in straight collaboration with the make-up artist Antonia Rosa, which was presented during Lisbon Fashion Week S/S 2014 (MODALISBOA).
In the same year, Nuno Beja and photographer Roberto Santandreu, started an analog photography lab, in which together they dedicat their photography work to 35mm, médium format (6x6; 6x7) and large format (9x12; 13x18).
Over the last years, Nuno Beja has been developing several photography projects in collaboration with the national theater companies, such as Comuna Theater and Politeama Theater, being presented regularly in solo exhibitions: check-in (Casino Estoril, Cascais [PT]), Ramificações, Politeama Theater, Lisbon [PT]), Fragmentos (Theater Commune) and PLAY LOUD (Theater Commune).
